![]() ![]() If you'd heard the song, you might figure it out when you get to the particular scene. One particular scene (I won't spoil it!) reminds me of a song, "This is How Love Wins" by Stephen Curtis Chapman. Knight has woven faith, and the truth of God's eternal love in fantasy! There were scenes when I cringed, gasped, laughed, and nearly cried. I could go on about this book, but I don't want to spoil it! Therefore, I'll say that this book was both exciting and beautiful at the same time. ![]() Will Daican succeed? Will Jace finally turn to the One who is calling out to him? Soon, the adventure moves to the land of Samara, where "the battle in Jace's heart" and that for the freedom of the Samarians are about to rage on. (And that's just the tip of the iceberg!) ![]() Then, while on a mission to investigate the emporer's plans for Samara, they learn a shocking discovery that changes Jace's life. ![]() His friends, including Kyrin and Rayad, want to help him, but Jace drifts further and further away in the darkness of guilt and shame. In this new adventure, Jace is not only struggling with his past and identity as a half-ryrik, but the condition of his soul. Of all the books in the Illyon Chronicles, this was my favorite by far! Ever since The King Scrolls (Book 2), I was eager for this book- like many other lovers of the Jaye's Illyon Chronicles! ![]()
